I once worked as a part time waitress in Pizza Hut at Mahkota Parade, Melaka while waiting for my SPM result. It was a very useful experience for me and I really wish I can do it again! Things that I’ve learn….
1. Malaysian rarely leave any tips for the waitress… most of the waitresses work like 8 hours straight (especially the night shift) and if they can still smile at you nicely… they do deserve some tip..But if they don’t smile at you… just give them a spank! (hehe,,kidding…)
2. Bear in mind…not all waitresses are uneducated .don’t treat them like they are below you r standard. Some of the waitresses who I’d work with got 10A1 for their SPM. One of them got promotion to pursue their study in UK..(ehm2…)they might be smarter than you. They just simply wanna work there to gain some experience, rather than “goyang kaki”at home and do nothing.
3. Emm..FYI… don’t ever ask the waitresses why the service charge or the tax is too high… they don’t know why…
4. Most foreigners are very friendly compared to our local citizen… (it’s based on my experience…might be differ in other situation though)

5. When the waitresses smile at you and introduce themselves to you, it is not because they wanna flirt with you…it’s the procedure..heheh
