Lots of things have been happening lately in my life. It fascinates me how fast everything change. I started to realize that I am not in my teenager life anymore no matter how much I tried to deny it. It remains as the unchangeable fact. I just started to realize that I was being too comfortable being someone who I don't want to be. The negativity is overwhelming. Its been sucking all of the happiness I should be able to enjoy. The previous days were a dark path for me. Guess its just part of growing up and part of learning. On the positive side, I am glad I've discover this sooner...a bit reflective session with myself is all I need. And of course, a lot of help from Allah too =) He is the one who will always accept me no matter how bad I've become, He will lift me up when I'm in my darkest moment.He is the one who will always help me even though I always forget about Him. He is the One who will always be by my side. I should've known, I am never going to be alone.

Living in a foreign country has its ups and downs. Normally I would prefer to mention more about the ups as the downs is not worth talking about. But being raised in a multicultural society, it never occurred to me that people would bother to put efforts just to show discrimination acts towards an outsider, a "terrorist" ( according to them), specifically, a girl with a hijab on her head.

I wonder why does some people could not accept the fact that differences is normal and certainly is not a bad thing. Differences should be embraced and celebrated because it determine who you really are. Just because some minorities have different sets of belief, it does not mean that they are lesser in any ways. It is sad and frustrating to see some people are just too full of themselves and at some point, they started to think that their way of living is the only alternative, everything besides that is unacceptable.

Perhaps they have forgotten that the only ideal way of living is the one created by the Almighty for all human beings regardless all the differences that they could possibly list down.

It was the time where I decide to become more English.....hence the title, and the picture. The colours look inviting enough, the smells too... everything were freshly cooked. If you were there, you could see the chips were still alive (true story)

Similar to most English dishes, this one is no exception when it comes to the taste. I have to say that my tongue is highly trained for any kind of taste, nevertheless, it failed to stimulate any of the almost 10 000 taste buds in my mouth. It was so dry, tasteless, and...........ENGLISH.

I always envy people who just know what they want. They know what they want to do and where are they going to be in the next 10 years, and sometimes the next 20 years. As for me, I can't even decide what to eat for breakfast or even what to wear for a 3 hour class.

Visions is what they have, and unfortunately, I have none. Perhaps some....but the farthest is getting a PhD. Because it sounds so cool. A girl with a PhD. I might not be a girl anymore during that time,but 'woman' seems old. A wife to somebody...A mother to somebody...Gosh, I wonder what my kids will look like.

A girl once told me that she wanted to travel around the world. In my mind, it was just too impossible. I didn't tell her though as I believe it is such a horrible crime to crush a friend's dream. I looked at her, trying to give some encouragement and support, but nothing came out except for a blank stare.......I guess action does speaks louder than words.

But 2 days ago...exactly 2 days ago, there she was, on top of the Great Wall of China bragging to me that she's going to Paris next. Let me repeat that, bragging. Maybe she knew what I was thinking back then.

A budget limousine is where people like you and me belong to. Maybe not all of you...but definitely me. I always have this image in my mind where you would be reading this in a six bedroom flat, on a queen sized bed..with two little fluffy toys at your side,thinking what on earth is this human doing wasting her time reading this random post. or is it just me?

So, about this budget limousine...is where I'm in now. It usually is noisy, but not today. Not now. Perhaps people are busy in their own thoughts, or listening to "Random Awesome" by Yuna,or looking outside the window absorbing all the foreign sights,wishing that it would be possible to remember all the details,the brick houses,the cold chilly morning breeze,the flower that only blooms in autumn...the golden crispy leaves that looks like Asda's Crunchy Nut cereal. Come to think of it, does flowers bloom in Autumn?

Its been a very very very long long long time since I've blogged here. Since I've blogged anywhere in fact. I 've decided to take some rest from blogging world because day by day (haru haru), I started to lose the passion of writing...until at one point, I just know that I have to stop convincing myself that writing is fun. It is not anymore. During that very very very long long time...writing is known to my brain as a chore. like when you are studying..and at some point you feel like wanting to burn the books to ashes and get married... that's how it felt like. Because in our naive mind marriage is the happily ever after endings.....little did we know that it is not the ending...it is just a brand new beginning.

My lecturer asked me recently, not me in particular, it was to the whole class ........in actual fact, he was not asking,. he was so convinced that all of us must remember our first day of school, he gave a sweeping statement and consider every single person in the classroom remembered. Everyone (in my mind it was everyone) were nodding their heads..and some of them echoed 'YES~~~~ ' . You know, the echoed YES, the one English word that we love to use in most classroom, so the teacher would feel that we are listening to them. Its a lame tactic..but it works. Anyhow...so I was there sitting in the class reminiscing, when do this all started...who is my first classmate..who is my first teacher...I can't remember a thing. I know its in Kuala Kangsar...somewhere in Kuala Kangsar.It is such a humongous loss not being able to remember the most historical moment in my life. The moment where I learn about the existence of school, textbooks, unifroms and the canteen's nasi lemak. The only thing that I can remember is how I cheat in the exam..hihi.... I asked my friend next to me (I cant remember her name or her face) how to spell 'TREE' and she gave me the answer right away, forgetting that in exam we weren't supposed to speak.

My previous post (sincere) accidently had spurred a lot of misunderstandings. Hassy, Nadila, 7 others rasanya (sorry, dah lupe sapa tanya lagi semalam) and sesiapa yang baca, bear in mind I am living happily with all five of my closest friends. tiada peperangan dingin mahupun peperangan saudara berlaku disini. We are all in good confition, tak ada masa nak berperang memndangkan peperangan sebenar akan bermula esok pagi.

So you ask me, "what happen? your friends buat jahat kat you ke?" (I rephrase balik in my own words) the answer is Nope. I find it unwise untuk memburuk-burukkan my friends di blog yang akan menjadi tatapan sedunia. Asyik-I-je-amek-parcel and asyik-I-je-buang-sampah solely served it purpose as examples. This is because, nowadays pakcik postman dah pintar, die just campak je dekat tingkap if xde orang bukak pintu and honestly, I am the laziest person dalam rumah itu yang akan membuang sampah diluar..selagi boleh ruang, I sumbat je. Ada banyak lagi contoh yang tak patut dicontohi sebenarnya, but tak kan nak tulis semua, nanti Mr Tigeria tak jadi nak kahwin dengan I.

Honestly, the post that i made before is just to remind myself and others about the difficulties of being sincere. You might think yang you dah buat sehabis ikhlas ni, but bila ade sedikit rasa dalam hati tu yang mengharapkan balasan, sincerity terus lesap. Even bila you tulis letter, last skali tulis Yang Ikhlas, or kad raya la selalunya, Ingatan tulus ikhlas or bila boyfriend cakap ,ambil la cincin emas bertatah berlian ni, I ikhlas.... patut dielakkan. Orang ikhlas, tak cakap dia ikhlas kan?

I hope I do make it clear this time, to all my housemates, maafkan daku jika hatimu terguris. Aku tahu ada diantaramu yang membaca sebab bila di stalk, ada lebih dari 6 orang dari Canterbury yang baca. baik ngaku! =P

For a mere mortal like me to be sincere is difficult. As mere mortal , I constantly crave for approval and appreciation from people. I want people to know that I had done a good deed..I want them to praise me..I want to know that I am the one yang buang sampah dekat luar hari ini, bukan orang lain. I want them to realize yang I was the one yang ambil surat-murat segala macam parcels if postman datang..so that they will know that I yang berjasa. bukan orang lain. ITS ME ME ME.

Boleh nampak tak betapa arrogant nya kenyataan di atas? As a muslim, what is my right untuk merungut nasib diri padahal Dia hanya suruh I tolong kawan-kawan bukannya suruh berperang di Afghanistan.

Yes. perhaps I will get approval. Certainly people will thank me. But do I expect to get anything from Him up above? In reality, all my efforts yang I dok merungut-merungut tu hanya sia -sia di sisi-Nya. Sebelah mata pun Dia tak pandang.

of course there will always be people who will take advantage on any kindness. But always try to see the bright side of it, every task that is given come with reasons. Maybe it teaches us to be more patient, more redha..or maybe for a lazy bum like me, yang selalu bergolek atas katil 24/7 supaya menjadi lebih active. hehehe...

Being sincere is damn hard. It is tiring, its time consuming and my patience sometimes is wearing thin by it. But sincerity is a special gift sebabnya Ikhlas adalah rahsia Tuhan hinggakan para malaikat pun tidak tahu dan tidak dapat mengesannya.

saya selalu merungut bila dia lipatkan tudung sekolah saya sampai muka saya nampak bulat masa sekolah rendah. Tak cantik. Saya nak lipat tudung macam kawan-kawan lain..baru nampak cool. Baru ada orang mengorat. Tapi, sebab ibu lipat tudung saya jadi bulat lah , saya dapat concentrate pada study semata-mata, saya dapat jadi best student, saya dapat berada di mana saya ada sekarang.

Saya tak suka bila dia paksa saya pergi belajar mengaji.Saya terlepas cerita kartun dekat tv. Saya tak dapat berkongsi cerita dengan kawan-kawan. Tapi sebab ibu paksa lah, saya dapat membaca Al-Quran sekarang, yang sentiasa menjadi peneman semasa saya dalam keresahan.

Saya memberontak bila dia tak bagi saya pkai baju ketat, seluar jeans skinny. Saya tak dapat jadi up-to-date. Kawan-kawan saya semua bergaya.Tapi sebab ibu tak bagilah, kesucian saya masih terjaga, khas untuk suami tercinta.

Saya masam muka bila ibu cepat-cepat nak balik rumah kalau pergi jalan-jalan.Saya tak habis bershopping lagi. Banyak lagi kedai baru tak masuk. Tapi sebab ibu rushing lah, kami sempat sembahyang di rumah dengan selesa.

Saya selalu rasa iri hati dengan kawan-kawan yang selalu dapat barang branded-branded. Saya tak pernah dapat bergaya dengan brand. Tapi saya bersyukur sebab ibu tak pernah ajar kami untuk tengok brand, cukuplah asalkan ia selesa. Kalau tidak, mesti dah habis duit elaun saya kerjakan.

Ibu banyak mengajar saya erti kehidupan. Saya lihat bagaimana cinta manusia kadang-kadang hanya sementara , cinta Pencipta kepada hamba-Nya itu hakiki. Saya lihat bagaimana Allah menurunkan musibah, yang kita terasa seperti tak terlarat untuk menanggung, tapi sebenarnya Allah itu tak pernah zalim kepada hamba-Nya.Setiap musibah datang dengan hikmah. hati ibuku suci, mengajar kami supaya tidak membenci. Hati ibuku kuat, tetap mampu tersenyum, bergelak ketawa walau sebenarnya hati itu tersiat, hati ibuku taat, tidak pernah putus harapan, sentiasa meminta pertolongan dari-Mu setiap masa, setiap saat.

It is 2.08 am now. I can't sleep. Maybe I slept too much petang tadi. Sejak Jepun dilanda earthquakes and tsunami...I read all of the updates daily..as much as I can. I just can't help it..but to feel sorry for them. I rasa, mesti dorang rasa sangat sedih sekarang, sangat menderita dan miserable, but being Malaysian, I can't really connect with such experience.So, no matter how tragic the pictures or the videos might be...I tak terasa nak menangis. However, this one note from FB that I read just now, really...really..really berjaya makes me shed some tears. It is about some Japanese tweets on Twitter regarding their experiences up until now.

ディズニーランドでは、ショップのお菓子なども配給された。ちょっと派手目な女子高生たちが必要以上にたくさんもらってて「何だ？」って一瞬思ったけど、その後その子たちが、避難所の子供たちにお菓子を配っていたところ見て感動。子供連れは動けない状況だったから、本当にありがたい心配りだった

At Tokyo Disneyland:

Tokyo Disneyland was handing out its shops’ food and drinks for free to the stranded people nearby. I saw a bunch of snobby looking highschool girls walking away with large portions of it and initially though “What the …” But I later I found out they were taking them to the families with little children at emergency evacuation areas. Very perceptive of them, and a very kind thing to do indeed.

一回の青信号で１台しか前に進めないなんてザラだったけど、誰もが譲り合い穏やかに運転している姿に感動した。複雑な交差点で交通が５分以上完全マヒするシーンもあったけど、１０時間の間お礼以外のクラクションの音を耳にしなかった。恐怖と同時に心温まる時間で、日本がますます好きになった。

At a congested downtown intersection …

Cars were moving at the rate of maybe one every green light, but everyone was letting each other go first with a warm look and a smile. At a complicated intersection, the traffic was at a complete standstill for 5 minutes, but I listened for 10 minutes and didn’t hear a single beep or honk except for an occasional one thanking someone for giving way. It was a terrifying day, but scenes like this warmed me and made me love my country even more.

聞いた話でびっくりしたのが、とっさに「入口の確保」と揺れてるにも関わらず、あの状況で歩いて入口を開けた人が居たのが凄いと思った。正直、シャンデリアも証明も何時落ちるか分からないのに、凄く勇敢な人が居た事に感動した。

During the earthquake

We’ve all been trained to immediately open the doors and establish an escape route when there is an earthquake. In the middle of the quake while the building was shaking crazily and things falling everywhere, a man made his way to the entrance and held it open. Honestly, the chandelier could have crashed down any minute … that was a brave man!

It was freezing and bus was taking ages to arrive. “@saiso” left the queue to run to a nearby pharmacy. He bought heating pads and gave one to everyone in the queue!

My daughter who was staying at DisneySea just made it back home! Many, many thanks to the staff who worked very hard in the cold with ready smiles that made her to feel safe and secure during the entire night. They brought her food, drinks, snacks, heating pads, and anything necessary to ensure she was comfortable and secure throughout her stay. I was touched by the Disney staff’s warmth and hospitality. Thank you so much!

Reminded of the goodness of the Japanese people

This earthquake has reminded me of that Japanese goodness that had recently become harder and harder to see. Today I see no crime or looting: I am reminded once again of the good Japanese spirit of helping one another, of propriety, and of gentleness. I had recently begun to regard my modern countrymen as cold people … but this earthquake has revived and given back to all of us the spirit of “kizuna” (bond, trust, sharing, the human connection). I am very touched. I am brought to tears.

Card board boxes, Thank you!

It was cold and I was getting very weary waiting forever for the train to come. Some homeless people saw me, gave me some of their own cardboard boxes and saying “you’ll be warmer if you sit on these!” I have always walked by homeless people pretending I didn’t see them, and yet here they were offering me warmth. Such warm people.

What foreigners are saying about Japanese people

At a supermarket where everything was scattered everywhere over the floors, shoppers were helping pick them up and putting them back neatly on the shelves before quietly moving into line to wait to pay for them. On the totally jam-packed first train after the quake, an elderly man gave up his seat for a pregnant woman. Foreigners have told me they are amazed witnessing sights like these. I do believe they actually saw what they said they saw. Japan is truly amazing.

We live in an area that was not directly hit. When my father came downstairs and heard the news saying that our area had begun allocating electricity to the hard-hit areas, he quietly led by example, turning off the power around the house and pulling the plugs out of their sockets. I was touched. He usually NEVER turns off the lights or the AC or the TV or anything!

昨日の夜中、大学から徒歩で帰宅する道すがら、とっくに閉店したパン屋のおばちゃんが無料でパン配給していた。こんな喧噪のなかでも自分にできること見つけて実践している人に感動。心温まった。東京も捨てたもんじゃないな。

The bakery lady

There was a small bread shop on the street I take to go to school. It has long been out of business. But last night, I saw the old lady of the shop giving people her handmade bread for free. It was a heart-warming sight. She, like everyone else, was doing what she could to help people in a time of need. Tokyo isn’t that bad afterall!

Japan is a wonderful nation!

Both the government and the people, everyone is helping one another today. There are truck drivers helping evacuees move. I even heard that the “yakuza” (gangsters, organized crime groups) are helping to direct traffic in the Tohoku region! There have been many recent developments that have made me lose my sense of pride in my country, but not anymore. Japan is an amazing place! I’m just simply touched. Go Japan!

ドイツ人の友達が地震が起きた時に渋谷に居て、パニックになっていた所を日本人に助けてもらったらしく、その時の毅然とした日本人の態度や足並み乱さずに店の外に出てやるべきことを淡々とこなす姿にひどく感動し、まるでアーミーのようだったと言っていた。

From a German friend

A German friend of mine was in Shibuya (downtown Tokyo shopping district) when the earthquake hit. He was panicking when a Japanese passerby saved him, taking him into a building. My friend was blown away at how calm and disciplined this Japanese man was. He went out of the building with firm, unfaltering steps, did everything he was trained to do and came back. My German friend was deeply impressed by the Japanese people’s actions during the earthquake, saying they looked like a trained army.

I just came back safely from the supermarket! Man, I was so touched at how everyone there was mindful of others, buying only as much as they needed and leaving the rest for the people behind them.

実際日本すごいよ。昨日信号が一カ所も機能していない御殿場市でもお互いにドライバー同士譲り合ってたし、地元のおじいちゃんおばあちゃんが手信号やってくれてたりで、混乱もなく本当感動した。9時間運転してたけど前車を煽るようなドライバーはもちろんいなかったし、みんな譲り合い精神。

Gotenba traffic

Japan is really something! Yesterday, not a single traffic light was functioning in Gotenba City. But drivers knew to take turns at intersections and give way to others when needed. Local people were using flags to direct traffic at intersections. I drove for 9 hours but never saw a single car trying to get in front of another. Every single driver on the road contributed to the traffic situation and as a result there was no confusion at all.

タクシー運ちゃんと電車駅員さんとおばさんと話したけど、みんな遅くまで帰れなかったりしてすごく疲れているのに、苛立つ事なく、言葉遣いもふるまいも丁寧で、逆に気遣われてしまった。｢みんな大変だから｣という"みんな"って意識があることに感動するし、私も受け継いで大事にしたい文化。

“All of us”

I spoke with an old taxi driver and some elderly staff at the train stations. All of them had been working non-stop and had not been able to go home for a long time. They were visibly very tired, but never once did they show any sign of impatience; they were gentle and very caring. They told me “… because all of us are in this together.” I was touched at what the notion of “all of us” meant to these elderly people. It is a value I will treasure and carry on to my generation.

A strong Japan

Suntory Beverages has set up free vending machines. Softbank Telephone services is offering free Wifi spots. Everyone in Japan is putting everything they can into helping one another. Japan is also now receiving aid from abroad. Compared to the Kobe earthquake, when Japan took too long to contemplate accepting foreign aid or dispatching the self-defense force to join the rescue effort, Japan has definitely grown into a far stronger nation. Be strong, everyone!

Morning Ceremony

At the shopping center I work at, every morning we have a ritual (common in Japan) where we stand and recite, “No matter what the situation, I will never show anxiety before my customer; in all customer-facing situations I will treat my customers with respect and do everything I can to make them feel comfortable and at ease”. What caught my attention on twitter is that a lot of the tweets were about the Kobe earthquake and how what we have learned from it has been put into practice this time around. 昨日、裏の家の高１になるお兄ちゃんに感動した。家に１人で居たらしく、地震後すぐ自転車で飛び出し近所をひと回り。【大丈夫ですか―――！？】と道路に逃げてきた人達にひたすら声掛けてた。あの時間には老人や母子しか居なかったから、声掛けてくれただけでもホッとしたよ。ありがとう。

A strong voice

Yesterday, I was impressed and touched by the actions of my neighbor’s 13-year-old-boy. He was home alone when the earthquake hit. But instead of hiding, as soon as the earthquake quieted down, he jumped on his bicycle and road around the block repeatedly shouting at the top of his voice, “Is everyone alright? Is everyone okay?” At the time, there were only women and children and the elderly in the homes. I cannot describe how comforting it was just to hear a strong voice asking if I was okay. Thank you!

警備員の友人何人かが町田〜相模大野で夜間警備のボランティアをしていたので手伝ってきた。年齢問わずいろんな知らない人同士が助け合っていて心強かった。ちょっと感動してトイレの隅で泣いた。

The beauty of helping one another

I went out last night to help some friends who were volunteering as security personnel between Machida City and Sagami Ohno City. I saw total strangers, both young and old, helping each other along everywhere I turned and was heartened with an overwhelming feeling of encouragement. I was so touched I hid behind the toilets and cried.

I just have a bike

I’m so touched! My colleague at my part time job, wanting to help even just one extra person, wrote a sign saying “I just have a bike, but if you don’t mind hop on!”, rode out on his motorbike, picked up a stranded construction worker and took him all the way to Tokorozawa! Respect! I have never felt so strongly that I want to do something helpful for others.

It was stupid of me to think I could catch a cab at Urawamien Station. I ended up walking 30 minutes and then finally was picked up by a stranger who offered to give me a lift. I’m touched by the warmth of human kindness. Thank you, thank you!

昨日、歩いて帰ろうって決めて甲州街道を西へ向かっていて夜の21時くらいなのに、ビルの前で会社をトイレと休憩所として解放してる所があった。社員さんが大声でその旨を歩く人に伝えていた。感動して泣きそうになった。いや、昨日は緊張してて泣けなかったけど、今思い出してないてる。

Last night, I decided, rather than stay at the office, I should try walking home. So I slowly made my way west on Koshu freeway on foot. It was around 9PM when I saw an office building that had a sign that said “Please use our office’s bathrooms! Please rest here!” The employees of the office were loudly shouting out the same to all the people trying to walk home. I was so touch I felt like crying. Well, I guess I was too tense yesterday to cry, but now the tension is wearing off and am very much in tears.

停電地区のほとんどの店が店を閉めてる中、あるセブンイレブンが店内陳列棚にいくつもろうそくを置いて、営業をしていた。レジが使えないため在庫確認用のハンディで値段確認し読み上げ、もう1人が電卓で計算、もうひとりが懐中電灯で照らす。その状態でレジ２台稼動させていた。感動した。

At the convenience store

While most of the convenience stores near the station were closed because of the quake, there was just one Seven Eleven that was open. The employees had lit lots of candles and put them on the stores shelves. The cash register was not working and they could not take inventory, so the employees worked in threes, one reading up the item description and price, another punching the numbers into a calculator, and the last one using a flashlight to help them work. The store managed to operate both “cash registers” efficiently this way. Impressed!

長女いわく、横浜の避難所に向かう時に、知らない人達と声を掛け合い、場所を教え合っていたそうです。普段は冷たいと思っていた他人の優しさに触れ、感動したそうです。日本人のいざという時の団結力を再認識しました。まだまだ日本も捨てたものではないです。

On the way to the emergency evacuation area

My oldest daughter was making her way to Yokohama’s emergency evacuation area. Total strangers were helping each other out and showing each other the way to the emergency evacuation area. She told me she was moved at how strangers, who can seem so cold at times, showed her kindness and care. I was reminded at the Japanese peoples’ inherent ability to immediately unite in the face of adversity. Today, I have discovered a newfound faith in my nation and my people.

A big, kind voice

I’ve been walking for many hours now. I’m touched at how everywhere I turn, there are shops open with people shouting “Please use our bathroom!” or “Please rest here!” There were also office buildings where people with access to information were voluntarily shouting out helpful tips, like “**** line is now operational!” Seeing things like this after walking for hours and hours made me feel like weeping with gratitude. Seriously, there is still hope for this country!

都営大江戸線の光ヶ丘方面行きは、非常に混雑しています。ホームにも、改札の外にも、電車を待つ溢れんばかりの人。でも、誰一人列を崩さず、通路を開け、係員の誘導に従っている。ロープがあるわけでもないのに、通る人のための通路スペースが。その不自然なほどの快適さに、ただただ感動するばかり。

On the platform

The Oedo Subway Line for Hikarigaoka is very congested. On the platform and at the gate there are just crowds and crowds of people waiting for the train. But in all the confusion, every last person is neatly lined up waiting his or her turn while managing to keep a passage of space open for staff and people going the other way. Everyone is listening to the instructions from the staff and everyone acts accordingly. And amazingly … there isn’t even a rope or anything in sight to keep people in queue or open space for staff to pass, they just do! I am so impressed at this almost unnatural orderliness! I have nothing but praise for these people!

昨日4時間かけて歩いて帰ってきた主人。赤羽で心が折れそうになってた時「お寒い中大変ですね！あったかいコーヒーどうぞ！」って叫びながら無料配布してるおっちゃんに出会った。これがあったから頑張れたそうだ。もう5回もこの話をしてくるので本当に嬉しかったんだと思う。おっちゃんありがとう。

My husband finally got home very late last night after walking for 4 hours. He told me he felt like giving up at around Akabane, when an elderly man who was going around handing out free coffee saw him, gave him a steaming cup and said, “You must be tired and cold. 近所のスーパー・サミットに来てみたら、通常深夜1時まで営業なのに大きい看板が付いていなかった。早めに店を閉めたのかと思ったら、外の電気だけ消して節電しつつ営業していた。ちょっと感動

Not enough money!

At the store where I work, a huge group of young men suddenly came in to buy booze. One of them suddenly said, “Oops, I only have enough money to buy booze, I can’t donate! Forget the booze, maybe next time!” and instead put ALL his money into the disaster relief donation box. Our last resort, makan sahaja burger McD yang kering lagi segera.....itu pun, we have to go to London, baru ada McD halal which will take us about 2 hours to go there by train or bus which will cost us about 13 pounds plusminus for a return ticket (RM 65 plusminus). Now tell me...who in the right mind yang sanggup bayar sebanyak itu...menempuh perjalanan sejauh itu..hanya untuk sebiji burger yang kering dan segera? I miss Ramly Burger~~~~~~~~~~~~

I don't know about you, but I really can't accept this phenomenon right now. Call me a stereotype, narrow- minded..or anything bad you can think of..but this thing definitely gets a concrete 2 thumbs down from me. If ada group seperti ini di FB, I would proudly be one of the people yang akan push the "like" button.

Guys..please just be guys. Leave the hassle and tassel of makeup-ing to woman.I thought sepatutnya ada boundaries to this issue you know...guys should know sejak azali lagi bahawa makeup and man don't mingle. They just don't belong to each other..they are not meant to be together. Eyeliner, mascara, foundation, lipstick is all womens' stuff. And sekarang pun..sudah ada term PRETTY BOY and I was like WTH =.=' the word PRETTY belongs to us girls. Don't steal it away from us. We already have enough competition in our own species.

Last but not least, man..guys..dude... should be tough and masculine. They should.......get some scars ,you know....get into an accident and get scars, break their legs and arms...loose a finger or two. They don't need makeup to cover any flaw. I really wanted to tell you guys about my trip to Birmingham. But currently ..sangat malas nak upload gambar. Nanti sudah rajin I update ye. I just want to share my thoughts for today. I am a big fan of inibelogsaya.blogspot. In case if you don't know, ini belog saya belongs to Hanis Zalikha. In her current post she talks about how people always rasa rendah diri with their own appeareances.

Manusia tidak sempurna, and manusia juga tak pernah puas dengan apa yang ada. It is very hard sebenarnya untuk mengelakkan diri daripada merasa serba kekurangan. Lebih-lebih lagi sekarang. I don't know this stuff berlaku elsewhere, but di Malaysia......everybody wants to be a fashionista. Kita selalu dengar phrase the survival of the fittest, but now...its the survival of the prettiest.

But really, kecantikan itu memang subjektif. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. As for me, I tak pernah suka hidung I. Agak segan ye untuk confess di sini. But that's the reality. I rasa.....my nose is too high and too big. If kena sunburn,hidunglah yang paling teruk. And my hidung will be the reddest part of my face if the weather is too cold. It is no fun if your have a red nose all day..I look like a clown. Seriously.

Tapi, people know me because of my high nose.The first thing that people always compliment me on is my hidung. Hidung mancung bak kata mereka. and because of this hidung juga lah Mr Tigeria terpikat.

So, Hanis Zalikha, I totally agree with you.when you say YOU ARE NOT UGLY, YOU ARE JUST NOT YOUR OWN TASTE.

Here's the deal..........you blog, I blog, your sister blog, your teacher blog, your weird neighbour blog....most of us blog nowadays. So, bloggers like you and me............ and your sister and your teacher and your weird neighbour, we are fully aware of the struggle that we have to endure every time we wanna produce something nice and of course something that might attract the readers to read our blog. We wanted them to laugh, to cry, to sympathize us, and most importantly, we want them to feel connected with our story/post.

So you see........bloggers are actually creators. We create our own masterpieces. We are proud of it. We are even prouder when people commented on it..giving feedbacks. We feel appreciated.

When people senang-senang dengan sesuka hati riang ria disney took your idea..your masterpiece and claimed it as theirs, won't you be mad? I won't be...if the person acknowledge me in some way. But that's ok..everyone make mistakes...we learn from mistakes. 5 minutes mug brownie with video

It is as easy as hell. If suddenly terasa boring mengunyah pisang setiap pagi, makan breakfast cereal, oatmeal or makan roti...you can try this. It takes no more than 5 minutes...Except of course, if you don't have enough ingredients and you will have to go to da supermarket first...then it will took you more than 5 minutes.

What ya need :

A coffee mug
4 tablespoon of flour
4 table spoon of sugar
2 table spoons of cocoa
1 egg
3 table spoons of oil
3 table spoon of milk
A splash of vanilla extract
you can add chocolate chips if you want..but its totally optional

So here's what you have to do :

combine all da dry stuff together (flour, sugar, cocoa)

then,

add egg and stir

then,

add milk and oil and stir

then,

add choc chips( totally optional) and vanilla extract

then,

pop it into the microwave for 3 minutes

then,

TADA!!

tiilt it atas pinggan dan sedia untuk dimakan!

In my previous post, I wrote about there are no such thing as miracle creams. But now I realize, betapa salahnya tanggapan tersebut. As I googled and googled...I terjumpa 1 brand miracle cream that will surely, dijamin 100% mampu menghilangkan jerawat, parut jerawat, kedut-kedutan di muka, freckles, mencerahkan muka...so nampak berseri-seri je...and paling menarik..boleh menguruskan muka anda. miracle bukan? The effect pun memang sangat cepat...just tunggu beberapa minit..and your face will be as flawless as ever. Malahan, ramai artis-artis pakai product ni juga. Kira, this is the secret to their flawless glowing skin la.

Use it anytime, anywhere....use it as much as possible.

petua hilang jerawat

Not really a petua folks...but a pengakuan based on experience. =P

I bet everyone pasti pernah dibelenggu masalah jerawat and there are lots of remedies out there which claim to be da ultimate cure to acne and pimples. But let me tell you this...itu semua dusta belaka! Recently, I baru tersedar.... There's no such things as a miracle cream. Hold on to that, and nescaya your money won't be spent on millions of useless indah-khabar-dari-rupa face stuff. So here's the thing that I have tried so far....

its cheap..that's why I bought it. Can't really remember how much..but certainly its under RM5 la. I used to apply it dekat seluruh muka..and then tak buat dah because it is so drying. maybe it is suitable for climate di Malaysia sahaja. If iI didn't apply it for my entire face, I will letak dot-dot atas muka. Ask my housemates..hehe...if nampak makhluk berkeliaran di dalam rumah dengan muka berbintik tu I la.

Verdict : too drying for me, alas it encourages my skin to produce more and more oil. For pimples, it works really well at the beginning, but when your skin started to get used to it, memang dah tak berkesan apa-apa. but worth a try....because I jumpa banyak positive reviews from Malaysian. Further more, its damn cheap.

I also got this from petua-petua in the net. sudah try.. and da result is.....nil...nada...elek...zero. not even negative. It does nothing to my pimples. But I guess boleh try juge if nak...kalau tak berjaya boleh gosok gigi after tu.

Verdict : I can't give any unfortunately as it did not work for me.

Nixoderm is the strongest pimple stuff yang I pernah letak atas my face. It is made of sulphur (belerang). So, you can already predict la kan..if letak atas kulit memang pedih. However, it does work on certain pimples. Because ada je pimples yang hilang terus the next day after I apply this thing at night, and ada yang degil. Although it will sting your skin a bit, the burning sensation tak lama mana pun.

Verdict : the smell is not that nice. Don't expect it to be all perfumy and flowery. It is sulphur for god sake. The pimple killing power is moderate....like any other cream. the smell is very overpowering la sometimes.

This is Anatomicals acne wand. It has 2 endings. 1 is for the day time and the other one is to be applied at night. I didn't really read the ingredient thoroughly, but I noticed that it smells like tea tree oil. So I assumed it should has some tea tree oil in it, which is a good thing as tea tree oil is good in fighting acne kan?

Verdict: Nope..still nothing. It did nothing to the my hormonal breakouts (mainly on my forehead). However, I did finish it though...maybe because of the packaging...it was fun to play with.

see. ..I've told you. there's is no such thing as miracle cream.

I just discovered that everytime I top up my mobile phone ( american = cellphone), I akan dapat voucher. I realized yang setiap kali I top up, akan masuk 1 message dalam inbox from o2 ( kira macam message yang dapat dari celcom or maxis la). I baca sekali lalu je..because I assumed that it was just one of da useless message that you always got from da company.

Alangkah terkejut bukan kepalang bila I dapati...rupanya message-message tersebut mengandungi voucher-voucher yang agak menarik. I rasa...I dah top up for more than 5 times.But unfortunately, I can only redeem 1 of da vouchers sebab da other 4 dah expired....

Anyhow, 1 of the voucher menjanjkan free facial treatment yang akan dilaksanakan disini, dekat town canterbury je.

I agak ragu-ragu nak pergi because its a facial treatment and my face sejak azali lagi sangat extra sensitive. So agak merisaukan disitu. Why don't they buat khidmat pedicure ke..manicure ke..confirm I pergi punye.

I have been craving for this cerita along time ago. Everytime I went to the cinema, I teringin sangat nak tengok. But tak tahu kenapa tak pernah kesampaian. Now baru I dapat tengok, outdated sungguh. One of the main reason why I nak sangat tengok is because it is by Yasmin Ahmad. I love every single one of her production. Be it the advertisement yang dia direct, sampailah her movie production. I am madly in love with them all. Jalan cerita dia tak pernah rumit, everything is so simple. She simply wanna show us our everyday life, things that we did not see. Things that we always take for granted. Things yang kita tak pernah perasan...tu lah yang dia ketengahan. And tu jugalah yang buatkan her productions jadi sangat special. One of a kind.

If her movies diberi perumpamaan, I rasa movie dia macam pasu yang diukir dengan details bunga-bunga yang sangat rumit. (ok, i suck in giving perumpamaan)

anyhow, there is nothing you can hate about Talentime. Adibah Nor is so funny. And siapa sangka Jaclyn Victor can act so well? btw, The OST sangat menusuk kalbu. It is called "Angel"

its hard to be 'ikhlas' all the time. For instance, now. Its 8.24 a.m in the UK, 36 more minutes before I begin my lazy steps to the uni. Its hard to be 'ikhlas' when you have to walk meredah kesejukan suhu negative. Its very hard to go and listen to the lectures every morning, everyday,every week. Everything seems so insignificantly lame for the time being, but I am pretty sure it will be handy in the future.So......... Just have to bear with it, just have to keep trying to improve, just have to keep trying to be 'ikhlas' no matter what. and hope for the best of course. Semoga perjalanan hidupku akan dipermudahkan oleh-Nya.

I feel guilty when I rasa happy disini, because my friends are having a very rough time. The most I can do here is to pray for them. I can't even imagine how frightening must it be there...Gunshots all over the place, bombs exploding, people screaming, prisoners escaping, buildings being burned...people getting hurt....people dying.

It would be heaven if kita ni diciptakan sempurna dari segala segi. Then again, hanya di heaven jela benda seperti itu akan menjadi kenyataan. However......... 5 minit selepas I tulis list di atas, I terfikir,kenapa perlu I persoalkan nikmat yang orang lain miliki, padahal nikmat yang I ada ni pun tak terhitung banyaknya. Imperfection yang I ada inilah yang makes me for who I am, I tak sebertuah,secantik,sepandai mereka sebab I bukan mereka. If I ada exactly apa yang diaorang ada...won't it be creepy? macam klon diaorang pula. And wont't it be sad too sebab I tak ada identiti sendiri, tak ada apa yang membezakan I dengan mereka. And if I perfect sangat, mesti tak ada orang nak kawan dengan I sebab semua orang dengki dengan I. kekekeke.... well..sedih jugak kalo jadi perfect ni.

1. You can't buy any sharp objects before umur you 21 years old. Even nak beli garfu ( I panggil garpu) pun tak boleh. Nampaknye,tunggu umur I 21 tahun barulah I merasa pakai garfu (I panggil garpu) baru.

2. Entertainment sangat-sangat penting di sini. Canterbury for example, ada bertimbun pubs. Even dalam kampus pun ada pub, Student Union Bar kot nama die if I'm not mistaken. If ada perjumpaan kelab, selalunye berkumpul di pub-pub. As for me, I used to be in the fencing club. Selalunya perjumpaan dorang buat di pub. I tak masuk pun, sebab I takut.hihihi...I am a typical malay girl la.

3. Most of the people here ada anjing. Mana-mana you pergi, mesti akan jumpa anjing.And anjing-anjing mereka pun bukan calang-calang. Dalmatian, poodle and many more expensive breed. Saiz anjing pulak ada yang kecik macam teddy bear, ada yang sebesar kambing...you name it, they have it.

4. Their slang memang sangat menarik. If you nak bercakap dengan dorang ni, seeloknya use their slang because they find it hard untuk faham our malay punya English slang. Talking face to face is ok..... but bila nak bercakap dalam tepon tu, memang menguji ketajaman pendengaran sebab they speak verrrryy fast dalam tepon ditambahkan lagi dengan slang.

6. Ebay menjadi medan bershopping yang paling popular. Almost everything ada di Ebay. But bear this in mind, bila you dah start berkecimpung dengan Ebay, you will be addictive to it.

5. During winter and even Autumn, penyakit kulit terlampau kering memang menjadi masalah utama. So vaseline and moisturizer menjadi bffff terbaik. Moisturize moisturize moisturize!

My campus (Canterbury Christ Church University) is situated right beside the town and quite near to Augustine House. I love the campus. I love the town. I love Augustine House ( which is our library) because it has the coolest high-tech moving-on-its-own shelves and the hot chocolate there is simply divine. I even made a resolution that if I ever crave for hot chocolate, the only place I will buy one is there. Because you see, since I am on a tight budget, I somehow need to limit my expenses on things that aren't so important but absolutely desirable. Who said you shouldn't berkira tentang makanan? A student got to do, what a student got to do.

Anyway, as I said before, I love to go to the town. It is more often than not very lively and you can meet all sorts of characters here. People walking with expensive dogs, giggling teenagers who seems just got back from school and heading towards Boots ( a pharmacy like Guardian or Watson in Malaysia) to try on makeups or to spray some expensive perfume samples onto their coats which me and my friends always do and some other people who seems to just roaming around hunting for sales item. I presume.

Where was I? oh yeah..the town. I went there just now. Aiming to buy some unimportant desirable stuff. And I did. Not one, but two. I guess I just can't get away from unimportant desirable stuff. Well, at least I still hold on to the resolution.

Ever heard of this name before? bagi para YouTuber yang tegar, nama-nama seperti Ray William Johnson, Venetian Princess, Bubzbeauty,Michelle Phan or Hotforwords mesti dah sebati dengan kehidupan mereka. Baru-baru ni, nama Jessie Slaughter pula sudah semakin popular di YouTube. Budak tak cukup umur yang rasa dirinya hebat..kesian sungguh.

Anyway... I baru berjinak-jinak dengan YouTube since datang ke UK sebab internet sini memang superb. Agak jakun juga mula-mula bila first time I buka YouTube I tak payah tunggu sampai berjanggut. Yela, dekat Malaysia, I pakai broadband je.

I cannot recall macam manalah I boleh terjebak dengan video Ray William Johnson ni. But his video is addictive. I tengok satu........then nak tengok lagi........then nak tengok lagi......until I spent my whole day tengok video dia sahaja. Then bila dah habis, I tunggu untuk dia upload video baru. Channel dia yang bernama Equals Three kalau tak dapat viewer berjuta memang tak sah. If I am not mistaken , dia upload video baru every Wednesday and .....ada 1 lagi hari I tak ingat. Friday agaknye.

I suka cara dia yang sempoi and funny. Besides Equals Three, dia ada juga buat video lain.Dia pandai beri nasihat especially on relationship. I love his video to da max! can't wait to see another video next week. Check his video out ok!

There is this one game that went viral in FB right now.Well, at least it did went viral on my wall..tak tahulah dekat wall korang ade ke tak.If takde..........outdated gile korang ni. (gurau-gurau, no tacing2)

So, the game goes like this..first you have to post this on your wall..

inbox me any number between 1 and 5000 and I'll make my status your number and what I think about you...fun thing is, only you and me know what your number is.

then...what you have to do is just wait. Wait until someone put a number in your inbox. At first I thought tak ada orang akan post any number in my inbox except for Ruzel yang memang dah post number dalam inbox I since semalam. If nobody give any number, nampak sangat I ni anti-sosial,kera sumbang.I dah terpikir nak reka je 1 wall post, konon-konon adalah orang bagi num in my inbox or maybe I boleh je pakse Mr Tigeria. But belum sempat lagi I buat..tiba tiba datang 1 number.

and before I know it..my wall dah crowded with comments for my dear friends. I enjoy doing this stuff for them very much.

Sebab first of all, it is fun. Its fun reading other people's wall post and start guessing who da heck is this person.... and its fun getting comments from other people too.

Most of the things yang kawan-kawan you tulis is the thing yang you tak pernah jangka. For example, one of my friend said yang dia pernah nampak I dating dengan Mr Tigeria and I tak perasan pun. And ada juga someone yang I kenal but malu nak tegur dia sebab dia ni comel sangat..(rasa rendah diri) and it turns out dia pun rasa yang sama!

sebab lagi satu, I ni agak pendiam...and most of the people selalu salah anggap and selalu la bagi wrong first impression towards me dengan mengatakan I sombong dan sebagainya. The truth is...I just don't talk much.That's just me..I write pretty damn much in blog..but in realty I love to keep things to myself..and then maybe malam-malam I akan tulis dalam belog ini.MAYBE

So..bile this game muncul, I was expecting people akan cakap things like.." dia ni sombong bangat", " budget cun" or anything yang sewaktu dengannya. But tak ada pulak yang sanggup tulis. hihi... But really..if you wrote that..I won't mind...adalah rasa twitching sikit dalam hati..but that's as far as it gets. tak adalah I nak emo-emo and bunuh diri.I pun tak ada life insurance,tak berbaloi bunuh diri.

I tahu kewujudan dia bila I dengar lagu dia berkumandang di MTV a few years back. The song, called Nocturnes always terngiang-ngiang in my head until today. Nocturnes is.....something related to orchestra..and................. emmm...................... tak tahulah saya.

I think it is better if you Google untuk tahu lebih lanjut. I takut bagi ajaran sesat pula since I am not knowledgeable at all in this music kinda thing. After a few years, now baru I terfikir nak cari the translation for that song. Sekali lagi I kagum. No wonderlah dia jadi the top Asian artist and is well known internationally.The song mungkin biasa je...but the lyric is so freaking creative and deep. I memang senang kagum dengan anything yang ada deep meaning seperti ini. I jadi curious, macam manalah otak mereka ni berfungsi. Tabik spring sama dia.

Menjejakkan kaki for the first time di UK dimana I terpaksa left all my love ones behind in order to pursue my study. This is the biggest sacrifice I have ever done so far. I memang dah biasa terpisah dengan my family since Form 1 lagi, but this is still very hard for me. And it becomes harder when it is regarding Mr Tigeria. But I realize that untuk berjaya perlukan pengorbanan.

This year juga, atas belas kasihan Mr Tigeria, dapat jugalah I merasa BB sebijik.I am not that obsess with handphones anyway. Even if Mr Tigeria gives me the Nokia cikai pun I tak kisah as long as I dapat stay in touch with my family, him and my friends.

And better if ada internet.

Got my driving licence but still need extra extra extra practice. I sucks at driving. I really am. Maybe ini petanda I kena upah driver.

Akhir tahun 2010 adalah time dimana I berkasut sneakers/boots pegi kelas. For years I have been wearing heels untuk ke kelas. sebab I jalan agak berterabur without heels. So ini adalah satu anjakan paradigma.
